Ackie question

Ive had a young ackie (2 months old) for the past week. He/she looks stunning, healthy and very well fed. I have seen some crix dissapear but not actually witnessed him eating, is this usual? Do you other keepers find you don't see them eat this young? Just a bit concerned.
