Hello.. I aquired an adult female savannah last night as a girlfriend for my male. When i first went to look at her, she was mellow, and not at her optimum temp (it was in a pet store). I assumed that she would liven up a bit once she was warmed up, and into proper husbandry conditions. So far, She appears to be somewhat dehydrated as her eyes are rather sunken in. She is not as active or alert as a monitor in a new environment should be. Her tail has ample fat supplies. At the store (i know, BAD ME, but she is just has really pretty markings, so I wanted to get her), she was moving around, and appeared to need just a mouthful of water and some heat. Now, it seems that it might be more then that. I was able to get about 10ml of water into her.

I do not hear any breathing problems, or do i notice anything that is out of the ordinary physically. She just isnt as alert as she should be, and seems somewhat lethargic since i got her home last night, and is sleeping a lot (more then she should)

Her Quarantine enclosure is a large rubbermaid bin with approx 5 inches of soil. temps are 75 on the cooler side, 85 on the warmer side, and 120 under the basking spot, humidity around 40% It is not as large as i would like it to be, and i am in the process of obtaining a much larger quarantine enclosure.

so, Apart from the probable criticizm of how i shouldnt have gone to the pet store in the first place (I know), I would appreciate any ideas that you experienced keepers might have that could help this girl.
