My Black Throat Monitor eats less

I am the proud owner of a youg blackthroat but she eats less than before. I had a couple of them bougt in a pet-store. The male caugt some little pieces of wood from the ground while he was eating and probably damaged from within and died. After he died the female ate less en became verry shy. Verry allert and active but less interesse for food. Stil eating but less than before. Somebody an idea??
