In Reply to: first clutch of pueblans.....very odd......questions posted by thomas davis on May 09, 2003 at 11:18:59:

::hi
::my first pueblans this year hatched the last two days and i have never seen such a thing. there are 7 alive, one died short before hatching in egg. 5 of them have a break in the backbone located near the "fecal-hole" tailwards.
::and another odd thing ist, that they all have absolutly no red!!
::what may be the reasons for this? during the breeding period i had a technical problem and the temperatur had a peak of 87°F- maybe this is the reason?
::shall i kill them ( that will be hard)-they donīt seem to be able to move normally?
::thanks for answers in advance.
::greets from rainy germany

:yes the kinks are probably caused from the high inc. temps,,,no dont kill them they can grow to normal adults and even breed w/th kinks(well sometimes) good luck w/them,,,,,,thomas,,from HOT texas....
