I own a few milks and I bought them all as hatchlings. I have 30 colubrids and sometimes I feel like I should be handling them more, so they will be used to it. I have noticed a huge change in them as they grew older as far as calming down, even though I didn't routinely handle them. Now as yearlings they're all pretty good and never bite and rarely musk. Matter of fact I bought a new Hondo and had her for a week and I haven't handled her at all yet, and I think she has settled in to her new tank well due to the period of being left totally alone. Many Milks grow fast, and before you know it theyre of a much more handleable size. Still, other snakes are sometimes much less squirmy so consider other snakes besides Milks too. Tom
