Separate them for a few days and try again. It seems to work best putting the female into the male's cage. You may need to do this several times before she finally becomes receptive. You indicated that she's only shed once since she came out of brumation. Sometimes they don't become receptive until after the second shed. Feed her as much as she will take right now. It also would help if you have second male handy. Just before you put the female into the male's cage, put the two males together and let them go through the jerky, biting thing, then take the other male out and put the female in with your male.
:My female hondo just shed a couple of days ago for the second time after hibernation. So I introduced her to a male yesterday. The male started chasing her and tried to breed with here but she wouldn`t let him. Now the male has lost interest. What should I do?
