the only problem when they were babies was that they were so darned flighty. But they definitely calmed down fast after I held them, even at the beginning. They still don't have the calm temperment of a corn snake and I doubt they ever will, but they are pretty nice to hold. The tri-color that I have has always been a great snake, but I got him as an adult, so I don't know what he was like as a baby. He does not have the black tipping on him, which is nice.
