: : I have some knoblocki that I have been working with now since the early 90s and I am very close to producing hypos.I have line bred most of the black out of them. (Now,henry dean has a knoblocki he bought at a show that he calls hypo and its like the hypo pyros.I would also say its a t+albino.)
: : shannon brown
: : west coast hondurans

: Shannon, Don't know the answer to your opinion but the "so called" hypo knob I have has 4-5 black scales on it also and not just purplish colors where the black would be. If it was a T+ I would think it wouldn't have any black. Of course there are albino Corns with black on them and Snows with red on them so who knows. Maybe it is a T+ albino. I have a hybrid line of snakes that I called hypo also but a few years ago I felt there were in fact T+ albinos instead. No black at all but purple where the black should be. Anyway most of these names are just to give an idea of what is the most similar condition going on using other hypos, T+'s etc as a referrence. Same problem with boas and all the hurt feelings over pastel being used by everyone, etc and who can call theirs a pastel and who can't.HDEAN

: Yeah Shannon, most I agree with. Some animals called hypos have only "cleaner" patterns from reduced speckling etc. But the black is still BLACK. In others the black is represented by a "bronzing" of the color. And in some the entire
animal seems washed in wax. Reds are faded as well. I don't know how an animal will look when someone tells me it's a hypo---'till I actually see it. The t+ t- thing sounds about right though (with a few tweaks from the experts I'm sure)Keep 'em comin', Mark
