That's good as long as you DON'T PAY for the Gecko!

Inform the pet shop that it will cost them money for vet's bills (even though you know they aren't even contemplating visiting a vet), and they'll lose the gecko anyway.

Paying only supports them. I've been getting more and more inclined to think they do this on purpose, just so that people come in, feel sorry for the animals, and buy them :(
