They love to go under stuff. Particularly fridges and ovens! What I have done in the past is leave baby powder or calcium trails in door ways. Also your going to have to go stealthy! Once they have experienced freedom they get skitish in my experience. Try getting a flashlight and looking late at night like 2 or 3 in the morning for him. He will turn up you watch!
