Well,i guess when the guy at TWRA me told that other states were looking at our wildlife laws so that they could adopt similar measures,i guess he was telling the truth.Sorry guys.

:> OR House Bill 3065

:Thanks :)

:full text at
:http://www.leg.state.or.us/03reg/measures/hb3000.dir/hb3065.intro.html

:Note that this is being pushed as an "EMERGENCY" (why?!), and
:that the implementation/content is very similar to the original
:WA HB1151.
:If WA HB1151 is passed, API will just point to "the sensible
:legislators in WA" as yet another reason why the OR ban should
:be accepted as a "common sense" measure.
:(Worse, they'll probably also push for the "catch all" clause
:which was added to WA HB1151, viz. that *ANY* animal which
:endangers human health can be added to the banned list without
:the apparent need for further legislation).

:*** We need to kill WA HB1151, first, IMHO ***

:Thankfully, the ball is rolling on OR HB3065 in a timely fashion,
:with ongoing discussion and initial co-ordination on the
:Phoenix elist: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Phoenix_Exotics/

:Take care,
:David.
