You need an endangered species permit to own any crocodilian in NY state. They aren't too easy to come by. You have to contact the NYSDEC special license unit, request an endangered species permit, not the crocodilian permit. I don't have the number off hand, sorry. If you don't have a REALLY good reason for why you want the permit, you're not going to get it.


:ive heard a million different stories on this one...but...are american alligators illegal to own in new york state...
