Could any one reading this forward this post to the proper person if that is not you.
I am the Adoption Chair for a Herpetological Society. As the contact for adoptions I work closely with a number of agencies. (Animal controls, police and sheriffs departments and Humane societies to name some.) Lately one of the Humane officers has been requesting my presence/"expertise" at an occasional complaint site. While I have no problem with this, (Happy to help the cops and the critters) our board has some concerns.
The reason for my post is a request for information about any organizations policies and/or practices as to how you handle complaints/abuse cases or aiding in rescue operations.
Any information you could give me would be very helpful.
