people involved with killing endangerd animals get NO TIME ! In the Kansas City Star there was a large article on a operation of tagging a bunch of people killing endangered tigers and other wildlife for the pelts and the exotic meat market. While most were from Missouri and a few from Kansas there were some from other states as well. Even though this went down as a sting operation in part, the best punisment( it seems ) will be fines of no more than $5,000, maybe a couple of years jail time, some will not see ANY jail time, one person will be under their own house arrest in their own home. Even though the N.Y. thief did the un-excusable, why did he get slapped harder then the ring of killers ? In fact this guy got what some murderers of human life gets.

:Reptile thief gets 3 1/3 to 7 years in prison

:BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ A 23-year-old man was sentenced to 3 1/3 to 7 years in prison for stealing reptiles from a pet store in July.
:Arzie Wade of Buffalo, convicted in October of burglary, broke in to the Blue Lagoon pet store, in the Buffalo suburb of Cheektowaga, and stole pythons, boa constrictors and a Nile monitor lizard. Police used fingerprints and DNA evidence from blood found on a smashed shop door.
:The jury found Wade not guilty of three cases where birds were stolen from Buffalo homes last year.
:Prosecutors said the birds and lizard have been recovered, but Wade refused to reveal the snakes' whereabouts.
