I agree Craig there are some risk . and yes we all need to be carefull . Other pet rescues do face the same problem . Even though rescues do use vets to rehab I think a good idea would be to take rescued animals to a vet for a good once over . Fecal exams and all . It may not be 100 % fool proof but it will lessen chances of spreading any virus or other sickness .


Sorry to hear about your lose Craig . It can be very heart renching to have that happen . Perhaps some people will listen to your warning . The only problem I have with permits in the manor you mentiond is this . Dogs are supposed to be liscenced but it has not been as big a help as it should . Thousands of dogs die each year with such a system in place . What good will it do herpers ? Some dogs are treated like through away pets too .

Even ones that are liscenced are treated that way . Frankly I do not see how it will prevent through away pets .
