In short Heyward and Ted Clamp are _outstanding_ members of the local herp community. They go out of their way for education, conservation and other needs. They are involved in numerous studies with both S.R.E.L., private organizations and other research. Heyward designed the first artificial hiberculam -Brian

. Heyward and Ted run the Serpentarium mainly out of the love of reptiles. The DNR in SC is very funny with reptiles, some are helpfull, some are hatefull. It is a sad situation when common folk working for the same good as DNR
