KJ,
I'm not real big on dragging a dead dog through the park, but in this case I think there may be a little more to this that hasn't come out, worth the walk.
I just wanted to offer some realistic reasons as to why I offer only limited information regarding my identity.First and foremost,I have children and a beautiful wife that I would never forgive myself for if they were to ever come into danger due to an oversight on my part(though I certainly would not hold anyone here responsible for such a thing, weather they posted my identity or not)I alone am responsible for my own choice of posting here.I have been on this world long enough to know better than to assume trust with anyone.I have no skeletons in my closet that I need protect. If I were to meet you at a herp show I would certainly introduce myself to you for who I am.But these are public forums, and this is not an exclusive conversation. Unfortunately it is not only the seemingly trustworthy posters who will read this post.Yes,I may be paronoid to some extent as you may be thinking. But it is typically the person who doesn't look both ways before crossing the street that gets nailed by the car that they took for granted wasn't there. It is already a risk posting on the internet.Have you ever looked for someone through the net?I have.

"I personally am I lot more apt to be "friendly" to a realistic looking name that some anonymouse crap-name and a yahoo address. That's a personal belief based on the fact that most of these forums are for people to ASK for help."

This is a shortcoming to anyone who shares this opinion.I am more than willing to lend a hand to my fellow herper, there is nothing taboo as far as exchanging whatever useful information I may have picked up through the years regarding herps regardless of their forum name. But that is where it ends.If you are looking to make friends here, that is your perogotive.I come here to exchange information with people of the same interests, nothing more, nothing less.Though I sometimes tend to offer more than a mouthful of my opinions, much like now. However, your "belief" really does seem prejudice. You already formed your opinion of someone you have not heard or know what they have to say before hand due to their name.I am not trying to accuse anybody of anything, and I know I have put my foot in my mouth on more than one occasion, but I thought these views were worth throwing out there.I hope this does not lead to offensive posts aimed back at me in anger,I feel we have enough of that in these forums already...just wanted,as previously mentioned,to express my opinion.
