Need help with Florida King.

Please Help,
I recently went into hospital leaving my 20Yr old Florida King in the care of my Mum whilst in the process of sloughing.
On my return I found that he still had not shed and was in a weakened condition so I soaked and removed the skin for him only to find that he was in the process of yet another shed.
He shed that only last week again with my help and has had 4 mice since then and seems a little stronger but he also shows signs of yet another shed.
There are no skin mites and the humidity of the Vivarium has remained the same for the last 20 Years without any sloughing probblems.
If anyone out-there knows what the hell is going on with him PLEASE HELP ME.
