Maybe some of us older-timers are a little jaded with the been-there-done-that but if you really consider a casual keeper who is looking for a pet and not to become the next Frankenbreeder you have to understand the Brooks being one of the most popular snakes around. Then you can get into the hypos and all the variations as a more advanced interest but the basic good nature and "keepability" is the same- great snake to keep for beginner and great snake to work with to refine those traits you find most rewarding. I second the "Good luck" wishes.
