Now I want a Cornsnake

Today while visiting one of my lfs a customer came in with the most beautiful corn snake I'd ever seen. It also was HUGH. All of 4+ft long and the girth was monstrous. It was the sweetest snake I've ever seen. What variety of corn will get that large and be that sweet? I always thought corns were skinny probably b/c I've never seen many adults. I'm going to begin my search but need to know if there is a certain subspecies or variety that grows that large. I'm beginning to understand why so many folks are enamored with corns.
