:Really? Because my new black rat snake (I know, not a corn, but a corn is a type of rat snake also) just musked me yesterday when I handled him for the first time.

:My king on the other hand only musked once and it was half-heartedly. The rat snake already is making me appreciate my king's very sweet personality more (he even when he was little and terrified of me never bit or musked, and seemed to calm down once picked up where as the rat snake is still very freaked even after the picking up).

Black rats will musk (wild caught will really stink you up) But Corns almost never. I can recall reading on another forum of someone being musk by a Corn but they may have had something else released on them. I've personally handled hundreds of Corns and never had one musk me. I can't say the same for Kings and Black rats.
