That doesn't mean a diet of snakes makes you bigger (otherwise you wouldn't see big mammal eating species as well).

Another way to look at this would be to look at populations within getula that are largely ophiophagous. What about all the kings that occur along the okeechobee canal and field edges? What are they eating? Probably snakes and rodents. Are those populations larger than pops from other places? I have never seen evidence of this.
