I love this snake and am happy as hell to have him. I must thank my friend Jonathan Wright who gave me this snake and 3 others including the big GA male. This Eastern is 12 years old and going strong. I will take some new pics of him once I beef him up as he is a non-feeder during the breeding season. Everytime I look at this snake I think of Carl Kauffeld's book "Snakes and Snake Hunting" The first part of the chapter on Kingsnakes he describes a snake identical to this one that he catches in New Jersey many years ago.A great book I couldnt recommend it more especially if you like hearing tales about snake hunting in days past.
