My parents TOLERATE them. When I got my blood python, I forgot to ask my dad, and only asked my mom. My dad got totally pissed after seeing that thing! He called Sauron ugly :(. So I told my dad I don't care what he thinks, and Sauron is a beautiful snake, lol! They'll touch and hold them, but they don't help me with food or anything, unless they advance me in allowance... Which really sucks because then I always have to pay them back! My mom used to have a boa constrictor, but unfortunately it died... probably due to improper husbandary. She told me she didn't keep it on a heating pad or anything, and fed it the same size live rats every week... kinda makes me sad to hear something like that.
