Today, I was at my friend's house watching TV, when the cat dragged in a lizard! We all thought it was dead but when I picked it up to bury it, it started breathing. So I rushed home and now it's in a spare tank with a heat lamp over it. Does anybody know a good site for lizard identification? I'm in southern California if it helps. The lizard is 5-7 inches with about one inch of tail since the cat bit off the rest. The lizard is brownish-green with black stripes. When I first saw it, I thought it was a small dark blue-tongued skink. Anyone know what this is? Thanks. later
