It is reported that Indigos are omnivorous
and will eat almost anything they can catch
and over power.

In the South Texas Tamaulipan scrub Indigos
are found usually in the proximity of "tanks"
or "ponds" and certainly eat a lot of fish and
toads. I have personally observed them eating
some type of rat as well in these localities
(pack rat? or kangaroo rat? I don't know).
Indigos are also known to eat other snakes.
