I received my Eastern Indigo from Chuck Elliot (a.k.a. The San Juan Snakeman)
Chuck's ad can be found in the classified section of Reptiles Magazine (under the headline EASTERN INDIGOS). Chuck specializes in ONLY DRYMARCHONS. At one time he was breeding kings and pythons as well. However, Chuck has all different Indigos (Texas, Mexican, and Eastern). It's not often that I'll rant and rave about the quality of a product, but I am 100% satisfied with my Indigo (he came in a cottage cheese container 7 months ago--and now hes close to 4 feet). I was impressed to the point where I actually wrote Chuck a "thank you" note for the snake (and a 6 month update to)--just to show you how pleased I was with Chuck and the snake. From what Chuck told me, he is thinking about writing and publishing a book on Drymarchons.
Like I said, I almost never endorse any brand or person, but this was an exeption--my snake was beautiful, happy, healthy, and eating like a pig--right out of the container.
When selecting an Eastern Indigo, Chuck offers a "high red" and "normal" phase snake (he only breeds high reds with other high reds and normals to normal). I paid $350+50 shipping for my dude, and thats the BASE price--if I remember correctly, they may go as high as $500. From what he told me--females sell out first--and he sells out of hatchlings quick as well.
Obviously, I highly recommend him--he should be paying me to say this.
