::Yes I think they are more like racers than anything else. THe big difference of course would be body mass and overall size and girth. You know the original description on the eastern indigo is now in the indigosnakes.com articles section.
It was named Coluber couperi...later it changed to Spilotes couperi. I think they were closer the first time.
