:I have been reading about cage spaces and different aspects of keeping eastern indigos. I have a cage for a adult female that is 4x3x2. Any suggestions on what kind of cage and where to get one that is suitable for a male adult eastern indigo? Thanks, I just want to be ready when the guys come.

**indigo cages (male or female) should be long to provide the animals with crawling room. Minimun of 5 ft in length, 6 to 8ft is better. 2-3 ft in depth and a couple of ft high. Height is not as important. Not only does a long cage provide the animal with crawling space, but it also provides area to maintain temperature gradients and provide basking spots without overheating the whole cage.** I just make my cages out of construction grade plywood with ventilation at each end. The panel at the front of the cage folds down to allow access, it also contains viewing glass.**
