Thank you. My success rate with rescues has been extremely good on the whole, and really leaves me unprepared for when things go wrong. We had 2 baby Southern Painted turtles brought to us this summer after being neglected. They did well for over 1 month and seemed fine, and then 1 turned into a marshmallow overnight and died 3 days later, and the next week the same thing happened to the other. Everything was done right, calcium, food, temps, filter, etc., and whatever it was that went wrong just took them. It was just like today, so sudden, so unexpected.

My life is dedicated to reptile rescue, so I'll never give up, and only hope more will join the cause because these animals need assistance!

Thank you again!

:I am sorry. It's hard to lose a rescue that was finally starting to perk up, especially after having put a lot of time and effort into their care.

:I rescued a very skinny BD awhile back, we had gone through two antibiotics, a probiotic, and lots of dropper feeding. He died in my arms on the way to the vet to be euthanized earlier this week.

:Best of luck to you with your next one!
