He'll eat large rats, and he'll also not need nearly as much. My big male is fed about 10-15 times a year. I dont feed at all in Nov, Dec, Jan and I begin feeding in the end of Feb.

I haven't had trouble with juveniles eating too much, but I think adult males will, and they get fat, not good. If you have an adult female and you're breeding her, feed her all she can take.
