is amazing!! I've been lucky enought to have caught many as a Native Son of the Great Republic of Texas as a youngster (60's)...I have found them solid black, red-chinned as any Eastern, speckled, the colors of a coachwhip!! (maybe that was what was in the pic that DT posted!!:-) You name the color and you can find one with some shade of it...The ones that looked like coachwhips on steroids were particularily strinking, at least in the fog of my memory...Carl Gossett GDH (Garage Door Herps) just trying to sound professional:-)
