I have seen snakes act in a similar strange fashion in 2 different scenerios...once in a grey band that had been overheated and once in a baby bt cribo that was treated with "nix" for mites. The snake did recover...but it acted that way for almost 12 hours. I know how careful you are Fred, so I doubt seriously you'd let a snake overheat...is there any chance the snake was somehow exposed to any pesticide/no-pest strip or strong odor like paint fumes, etc??
