There’s really no explaining it until you see and hold an adult cribo or indigo, but, yes, they are the ultimate colubrid. They are huge snakes, big scales, alert, active and intelligent. They are a lot like a cobra without the juice.
Most big snakes in captivity are boids…and boids just very different. They have slow metabolism and seem a bit “lazy” because of it.
Cribos and indigos seem constantly aware of their environment and are very active.
A huge snake like that is just very very impressive.
You really need to hold and 8 footer to get the message.
