Hi Fred. I appreciate your advice. I certainly have every intention on breeding him here in NC, preferably close to the Raleigh area ,where I live. I felt that by taking Austin to the prospective female I'd have the opportunity to see the owner's care/maintenance situation and decide if it were suitable. I'm like a mother hen when it comes to this guy and I'm certainly open to any helpful info concerning what's best for my Indigo. As far as the "humor" element of my post, you're the second person to address my lack of professionalism. I realize your intentions were to help me be a little more "breeder-circle savvy",but the postings I've read on your forum seem to be fairly relaxed. Everyone here seems to have very personal and proud ties with these incredible snakes. They are treated as pets/family, they are given names, they are appreciated and they are just plain fun to have.I've met several "snake people" at reptile shows, pet stores, through classified ads etc. and a large percentage of these people are very professional. Professional arseholes. It's a business to them, the snakes are simply sanitized merchandise and their indifference just irritates the hell out of me.It's like they're not having fun anymore, "It's just a job". I'm sorry but I'm just a good pet owner- that's all. I'm not someone who's trying to turn a quick buck. In all fairness there are a lot of fun people in this business too.I've made some pretty good friends over the last couple of years in regards to snakes I've bought and traded and a little silliness and lightheartedness makes the dealings even more enjoyable. So, although I may have ruined Austin's chances to "shag" with "The Royal Court" I'm still hoping there are some other ,simple, good ole "pet owners" that aren't so quick to past judgement. Besides, I've already promised Austin I'd let him "hop on the good foot and do the nasty !" Grrrr Baby, Very Grrrrr !! Thanks again for your input and all the help this forum provides. Mike
