Usually males achieve a larger size both faster, and longer, there are exceptions now and again. I have a female that mesures 8.5 ft. She rivals both males in my group which are a couple inches longer. But it is safe to say that more often than not, males achieve longer lengths and get there faster. You are dealing with a normal situation, don't worry. Keep feeding!
