: : Its funny ---everyone is an expert--- for all your information there are persons with permits In florida, to have and propagate eastern indigos which are obtained legaly from outside of florida and are captive born! for more information feel free to personaly e-mail me!
: I think I have heard of a couple of the permitted Indigo owners in Fl. I don't think they can sell the babies they can only give them away.
I've sold several Indigos to people in Florida for several years. The laws in Florida seem at best to be flexible. When I first sold indigos to people in Florida there was no restrictions as far as what sex or how many. They did restrict the selling or releasing of any offspring. Then a few years later they decided that they didn't want anybody to even be able to breed them so they restricted the purchase to onyl one sex. You could have as many as you wanted but they all had to be the same sex. As far as I know the laws didn't change, only the opinions of those in charge of issuing permits. I know that if I lived in Florida and I wanted a pair of indigos I would challange the restrictions allowing ownership of only one sex. This should be a lesson to all of us that we should learn the laws governing our hobby. Don't trust the beareucrats to do the right thing.
