The first snakes I shipped went NWAir Cargo. I shipped 2 corn snakes from Seatac airport to the Huston (or was is Auston?) Texas. The cost was right around $60, and it was delivered from airport to airport in the time it takes the flight to get there. Pretty nice. They also insure live animal shipping, which most shipping places won't do (since they don't allow live-animal-shipping in the first place). There were no "known shipper" hassles, as Delta is rumored to have. I would highly recommend them.

Supposedly they inspect the packaging, i.d. the animals, etc...but when the guy on duty saw my box labeled "live harmless snakes" he just smiled and said "No thanks, this is as close as I want to get". The animals arrived safely and in perfect condition.

The next snake I sent went out Airbourne Express, as requested by the buyer. It cost less than $30 to send overnight, and he also arrived in perfect condition.

I think the most important thing is to not ship when excessivly hot (80 and above-- or somewhere around there, depending on the snake) or too cold (65 or below, again depending on the animal).

As a warning, I knew a guy in Seattle who had two relatively expensive GTP's shipped to him via UPS or Airborne Express (can't remember which). The package left NY with two nice baby GTP's in it (according to the reputable breeder)...sadly, it arrived in Seattle perfectly empty. In the end, the guy was stuck...you can't make a claim against the shipper for stolen snakes if it's against their policy to ship live animals in the first place...and the seller wouldn't reimburse him, because it wasn't his fault they got stolen... Caveat Emptor.

::I'm trying to find any company that can ship my snake within US, but so far nobody does that....does anybody knows what organization ships snakes?????

:Shipping.........

:You can ship a variety of diffrent ways, however their are only a couple of ways to ship legally. Delta is one of them, but they often dont accept your shipment if you are not a KNOWN shipper with them, which invloves inspection of your "facilties" as it where. Depending on where you live, Northwest Airlines also ships nskaes, but has some tight restrictions about boxing the snakes up and they dont ship everywhere. I have heard good things about Airborne Express so they might be worth looking into. just a few pointers.
