I mean, so an an unusual color could be a part of lethal recessive genes, that also caused the other malformations
and death of the baby... in this case the strange color is
not a "rare fortune", but part of the global malformation of the baby.
I'm not sure, but I remember that maybe I found too, among
malformed, dead babies (E.taeniura for instance), rather unusual colorations... but, I repeat, I'm not sure of this...

P.S.
As regards my Spilotes, male and female, which both leaved
sometimes traces of blood over the paper, from the vent, my
vet thinks (and I think this too) that this blood comes from a
benigne inflammation of the cloacal glands, caused by the hot
temperatures and by small "gland stones".
My Vet says, he has already seen this both in Spilotes and in other snakes; and it's a totally normal and harmless, parafisiologigal, bleeding. My Spilotes are in fact doing very very well, and I decided to put them together !
