i don't live in Florida...but it's doubtful, unless they make a dramatic comeback (which is not likely considering their principal enemy is habitat destruction/development, which will only get worse.) the problem as i understand it is if you make it legal to keep ANY E. Indigos in Florida in captivity, then what keeps "money-grubbing &*@!h!!@'s" from going out and capturing them...capturing gravid females, selling babies as captive born...etc. paperwork can be forged...right now it's easy to enforce. any captive indigo in Florida is illegal, period.
Although i wish trustworthy folks like i'm sure you are could keep and breed captive Indigos...it's probably best for the animals to keep the laws in effect...my opinion.
