Aquired snake 02/02, was told 6 month wild caught. Also told dewormed and bugged. She was skinny. She doubled her weight and grew about a foot since I purchased her.
History: 02/02 got snake, shed 02/20
March 3,9,14,19-frozen rats
April 4, shed, 14,23,27,29-frozen rats (a couple smelt)
May 10, shed, 19,25-frozen rats
June 14,22 shed, 2,7, frozen rats
July 1,4,9, live rats-stunned
Aug. 9, shed-tried feeding two days in a row, live and stunned.
She was not bred. Her cage has been the same and she does have a hide box although she prefers to hide under all the newspaper. I have had house temp. at steady 80-81 degrees. Maybe too warm? I also had a heater on one side of the cage. The air conditioner has been on for almost a month, keeping house at 80. Stools are normal Indigo fashion. Occasionaly snake coughs up brown mucus, no wheezing, mouth gaping or bubbles. Mouth looks good. No mites. Anything else? Thanks.
y here? What was it eating? How often? Has it been bred? Has it been "dewormed" lately? When did it last shed? How long have you owned it? Has its hide box or cage been changed?
:4 weeks is too long to be desireable for a guardian IMO....so tho @ risk of sounding like a skipping record.....I have to suggest trying a natural live prey item.

::Female Unicolor (4 1/2 foot) hasn't eaten since July 9th, no interest in live or frozen, air temp. is 80-84 degrees, humidity is 48-50 degrees, tank size is 30 x 18 x 18, long term captive (1 1/2 years). Was feeding very good and was putting on a lot of weight prior. HELP!
