: A baby quail is small enough for a newborn indigo to eat ???
1-week quail are pretty small (you can even get 1-day old quail) and this one baby indigo had no problem eating it. This same snake is now taking scented hoppers with quail feather clippings placed on the head. These sure are fun snakes to work with!
