my wild caught adult ate mice readily. It would take f/t from tongs (only a very foolish person would put a mouse smelling hand in front of a Pseudaspis). It did very well in a cage with a thick (3") layer of Apsen shavings in which it burrowed (it preferred burrowing to using a hide box). Basically it was like keeping a pine snake.
I have heard the babies can be problematic starters (but I doubt they are any more difficult than a dozen other species that are regularly kept and bred in captivity).
Where did you hear of them "becoming available"?
