: I am thinking it might be the temps. The temps are in the low 70's. I sealed off an A/C vent on the floor in the far end of the room. So now the coolest air is coming in the door next to that Indigos cage. The other Indigo is doing great but is in a different location. Also the day after regurging the snake shed its skin. I'm feeding it tomorrow and he does look hungry.
: As far as Crypto, where does it come from? How can you prevent Crypto from entering a collection. I have had no new additions this year but some will be here shortly.
: Thanks,

Dan,
Cryptosporidia thickens the stomach lining very slowly. The snake can digest smaller and smaller meals over time until it can hold nothing down and starves to death. Only 2 things kill it: ammonia and steam. If you spray your tools with ammonia, or better yet, use separate tools for this snake it would be hard to spread reptile crypto. It's not insidious like some viruses which can be airborne or spread by aerosolizing water.
If this is the snake's first regurge, there's a good chance it's nothing to worry about, especially because he was in a shed. Give him time before feeding again, and then a small meal with choice of temps. You'll probably be fine.
Good Luck,
Steve B.
