In Reply to: and he's passing it off as an "indigo" isnt this guy misinformed? Or can a cribo be called an indigo? n/p posted by Matt on December 17, 1999 at 01:53:36:
: : nothing's here--why'd you look??
If the animal that you mentioned is truly Wild caught I would have to say that it is indeed a shame. There are enough Black Tailed Cribos around to not have to resort to buying a W/C adult. It seems that in this business(or hobby) that people become that which I disdain, namely "mini brokers". Just trafficking in animals. Mind you that new wild caught bloodlines are neccesarry to outcross to every so often, but to offer the thing up on an auction to highest bidder, who may just keep it as a pet is wrong in MY opinion. With people like Chuck Elliot producing captive bred babies, why would anyone want to buy a W/C parasite loaded, battle scarred adult, I just don't get it??? As for the nomenclature I beleive that these snakes can still be classified as "Indigos". Thanks for mentioning this animal here, it may draw focus by the buying public to BUY CAPTIVE BRED instead of fueling the "MACHINE"
