: It was WC in Maryland,far from the range of Indigos.It can't be an Indigo.The reason I asked on this forum is I thought there might be a snake commonly confused w/Indigos.

Our black racer that resides at our wildlife center has a white chin and is quite a beefy snake much like an indigo (after all, they are somewhat closely related). That would be my guess. Can you post a pic?
