do not, i repeat, do not buy a 1 megapixel camera, you will be woefully disappointed.
while a 3 megapixel image is way way way too huge to post on the web, you can use image editing tools (free!) that will reduce the size of the file into something that is smaller than the 1 megapixel is, but with much higher quality (less blurring).
oh, and a megapixel stands for million pixels, with one pixel being one dot. if you were to magnify an image, you could eventually see that the image is comprised of lots of little dots. the more dots, the more detail that the image can hold.
i know i'm not explaining this very well, but like i said, if you really want some kick ass advice, i'll send you to a website that will tell you everything.
: Hi Dean. I own a male my Dad purchased from you at Christmas. Very big, very healthy, and VERY VERY feisty. I agree with optical zoom, digital zoom is no good period. 3x should do, more is better. I do websites, thats what I do, NOBODY uses 3 megapixel photos. 1 megapixel is a HUGE high resolution digital pic (1024x768), and yes they even print beautifully full size 8x11 on a good quality photo quality printer. Most good pics posted are even less (640x480) and are more than acceptable for posting. Get something with a rechargeable battery. If you need help let me know.
