chris, generally as a rule the wc black tails, brown tails [intergrades] and unicolors adjust rather well and quite quickly. all they require is a snug hide and dth temps around 80*. they will come around in their own time. if you're going to buy one make sure it has decent weight to it. occasionally i see imports that look somewhat emaciated looking and it's because they took too long to get them to the market. these could be a project.......adult wc yellow tails are a whole different ball of wax however. these are harder to get, more expensive, prefer higher temps and seem to completely lack the good naturedness of the other subs. hope this helped.
