of a few weeks ago siteing Wright&Wright...TX Indigos realibly measured (just not by the authors) of greater than 9 1/2'...Authors' own max measurement was 105" for TX Indigos...
You probably have not been as fortunate as I to have grown up in The Republic of Texas and legally (I'm an old fart) captured Tx Indigos...Their coloration ranges from deep slate black with crimson sometimes to the vent on their belly, to almost coachwhip tan anteriorly to slate black posteriorly...A much wider coloration scale than Easterns or Cribos, not to mention as or more massive and, of course, friendlier(Texas="Tejas" the Indian term for Friend)
I have had the blessed fortune to have captured, legally, Easterns, Texans, and Unicolor cribos in the wild...As far as I am concerned, they are ALL the most wonderful reptiles extant!!!
Just wait until the Texas Indigo hits the market like the Eastern has...They will command the same handsome price..Tune in next year, when, hopefully, the DTCG strain hits the newstand!!!
Please do not use the term Texican, as it is most offensive to those fortunate enough to have been born of that blessed land...Nor use the term Cribo until you have passed the territory of the beautiful Mexican Indigo (Rubidus)...Then the name of the fabulous Cribo becomes appropriate..(I am lucky enough to have all, but the grand Yellowtail, in my caring custodianship)
I hope I have sounded sufficiently proud and pompous, as that was my intention :-):-)

: Very interesting account 2-b sure. You're lucky to recapture even a 6'er. I lost a BT neonate [w/ a.... &%$#@ kink in it...another I-net rippoff..... :( ]. I lost this criter in low cut grass! It just burrowed out of site while getting its excercise right under my ample snout!

: : 6' BT female escaped in garage 1 week ago...Placed glue traps all over every corner, likely hiding space, etc...After no luck for 3-4 days put mouse on trap, water on traps...No snake...Give up, think she's gone, not likely to survive outside, still gets to freezing at 7600 ft elevation, 6" snow 1 night...Sad Carl :-((
: : Friday night, son calls me at work...Found her!!!
: : My son found her in an elevated habitat..She, of course, doesn't really want to be caught...Gets to the floor..Heads right to one of the 10" x 6" glue traps...As she approaches trap she RAISES her head, puts it down on the opposite side of glue and continues over the trap like a roller coaster!!! Her body never comes near the glue!!! Still got her back into her cage anyway...
