: I just got John Werler and James Dixon's new text "Texas Snakes" an outstanding work!!! I would advise everyone to get it...
: Anyway on the topic of OUR animals...They site a 1986 measurement by Kuntz and Vermersch of a live Tx Indigo of 9' 5" !!!! (pg 99)
: I also ran across a reference in Wright&Wright of "Texas Indigos seen at the Snake King larger than any Eastern Indigos"...
: Let the battle begin (again) :) :) Carl
Carl,
If the siting listed is by either Paul or Gopher Kuntz I would take it as fact. Both these guys have written a few REALLY good papers on Drymarchon, of which I have been able to get my hands on. who knows, maybe it was a freak and an abberation? Oh wel, thanks for shareing.
Fred
